Peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. The fate of Trancas Park was carefully and thoughtfully determined at the City Council meeting February 23 in favor of building the park, something I have been working on for years. Some of my friends and neighbors were very opposed to this project and it has been a very uncomfortable time for us all. I sincerely hope that fear will subside and they will embrace this enhancement to our community and that “peace” will soon be restored to our precious and unique neighborhood.
