Urgent Care plays vital role

The Malibu Urgent Care facility is a vital part of our community. I experienced this at first hand last weekend.

Last Thursday night I began having gastrointestinal symptoms of the most messy and undignified type. I waited a day with no improvement and became seriously dehydrated. On Saturday afternoon I went into the Urgent Care at about 5:15. My wife had called ahead and explained my problem and a liter of electrolytes was waiting on an IV stand. The nurses took my vital signs, administered an EKG and Dr. David Frankle examined me promptly and thoroughly. Blood and other fluids were drawn for lab work. Dr. Frankle told me I was “dry as a bone” and he attached me to the IV. I left for home after being there for almost two hours, well past normal closing time. The doctor and the nurses remained with me until then.

I wish to thank Dr. Frankle and the Malibu Urgent Care nurses for their prompt and competent help. This facility deserves the support of the Malibu community.
