A woman driving from her home off Latigo Canyon swerved to avoid a coyote late Tuesday morning and collided with a power pole, causing a power outage and a small brush fire, California Highway Patrol officer Benny Avila said. The road is closed just south of Ocean View Drive and is expected to remain closed for approximately six to eight hours while Southern California Edison fixes the downed power pole and power lines. The woman was uninjured in the crash.
