Dozens of runners took off at Paramount Ranch last weekend for the Malibu Heroes 6K, a road race raising funds and awareness for mental health and substance abuse treatment.Â
The race drew a field of competitive runners and fitness buffs, as well as those interested in the mission of the charity New Directions for Youth, which provides services for at-risk youth and families in the Los Angeles area.
