Heavy forecasted winds and dry conditions in Malibu have triggered a red flag warning and wind advisory from National Weather Service this weekend.
Santa Ana winds could hit up to 55 MPH during peak times. The red flag warning kicks in at 12 p.m. on Saturday until 6 p.m. Sunday. The wind advisory lasts from 4 a.m. Saturday until noon Sunday. The wind advisory area spans from the Leo Carrillo State Park area directly below the Santa Monica Mountains to Bel Air, according to NWS.
Malibu is projected to have overcast skies with unusually warm winter temperatures and no rain in its forecast. Saturday is forecast at 73 degrees and Sunday at 77 degrees.
