After a tough conference season, during which the Malibu High School Sharks JV baseball team won only one game, the team redeemed itself with a 7-5 win over Carpinteria in the final game of the season.

Although they had lost to Carpinteria High School at home earlier in the week, the Sharks hoped to clinch a win on the road. Freshman Andre Simoneau allowed just two runs in five innings on the mound, giving up two hits and one walk. Simoneau used only 68 pitches and had three strikeouts despite playing with a pulled muscle. Sophomore Nick Anthony pitched a strong sixth and seventh, giving up just three runs.

Offensively, sophomore Chris Falk led the way with a stunning performance, including three doubles and two RBIs. Freshman Troy Schlobom contributed with two hits and three RBIs, while sophomore Miles Tade had a single, double and an RBI.

This total team effort allowed the JV team to end the season with a decisive victory.
