Malibu resident Elisa Visher, Viewpoint School’s Class of 2010 valedictorian, will attend Yale University in August to pursue her two passions: science and rowing. In a written statement she said she could not be more excited.
Visher plans to study molecular, cellular and developmental biology with a neurobiology concentration, and she will be a coxswain for the Yale men’s rowing team.
Visher is particularly interested in cancer research and improving the odds for cancer patients. To that end, she is the team captain for the Visher Family and Friends team at Light the Night Walk, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s walk and fundraising event to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. “I look forward to bringing this event to college,” she said in a written statement.
