A number of traffic advisories are in place for local residents.
As locals have noticed, the construction at Civic Center Way and Cross Creek Road will continue through Feb. 23, from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Both roads have been reduced to one lane, with flagmen directing traffic in both directions. There is no access to Cross Creek Road from Pacific Coast Highway; vehicles will, however, be allowed to exit from the road onto PCH. Traffic lanes will be open after construction hours.
The City of Malibu announced that utility work on overhead wires on Kanan Dume and Malibu Canyon roads has been postponed to late March. No reason was given for the delay.
Due to a water main installation, the No. 2 westbound lane of PCH will continue to be closed from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. until around mid-March.Â
Southern California Edison’s Malibu Canyon pole replacement, as announced in Sept. 2017, is ongoing through March. Residents should expect the normal schedule, with the night work (9 p.m. – 5 a.m. Sunday-Thursday) causing possible lane closures.
