The Navy League Cadet Corps TS Minutemen, which included Malibu youths, received their One Year Ribbon at Point Mugu Naval Base at the Oct. 18 award ceremony from Commanding Officer Chief Master Sergeant Ross Gregory, recognizing their dedication of service.. The Navy League Sea Cadets is a training organization for youths ages 10 to 17 who train with the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard and other military organizations. Providing leadership, training with the U.S. Navy SEALs, mastering maritime skills and aviation training, living abroad on foreign exchanges, and an active physical fitness program, cadets learn skills in basic seamanship and its naval adaptations while also learning the value of patriotism, courage, self-reliance, teamwork and accountability.
