The Deltaz — a band made up of brothers John and Ted Siegel — will celebrate the completion of two years of work on their new album, “Like Your Brother,” with a free outdoor release concert at Peter Strauss Ranch Ampitheater on June 8.
“Like Your Brother” features 15 tracks ranging in genre from bluesy rock to retro, country-infused folk, most of which were written by the brothers. Several of the songs feature some of the last bass tracks played by the late Rick Rosas — a longtime bass player with Joe Walsh and Neil Young.
The brothers will perform their entire album at the concert along with a band of musicians who played on the record, as well as several special guests. LA-based duo the Zmed Brothers will play an opening set preceding the performance.
The Deltaz have performed at the Old Place Restaurant across the street from Peter Strauss Ranch for the past six years.
“It seemed fitting to have this event at Peter Strauss Ranch,” Ted Siegel said. “It’s our home base. I can’t think of a more beautiful location than the outdoor amphitheatre in the summertime.”
CDs of the album will be available for the first time at the release concert, with a portion of the proceeds from each sale going to the Fender Music Foundation, which donates instruments to schools in need. The music will begin at 5 p.m., but guests are encouraged to arrive early due to limited seating and bring food and beverages to enjoy.
