Longtime Malibu resident Mary Louise Sheets died Dec. 4 of cancer. She was 71.
Sheets was born Sept. 13, 1935 in Indianapolis. She moved to California in 1944. Sheets graduated from Santa Monica High School and UCLA, and taught in the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District for many years.
Sheets is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Bob and his wife, Katya; daughter, Kathleen; daughter, Carolyn and her husband, Eusebio Martinez; uncle, Harold Curtis and grandchildren, Anna and Adriana.
A memorial service will take place at Malibu Presbyterian Church, located at 3324 Malibu Canyon Road, on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
