A pursuit that began in Palmdale came through Malibu on Pacific Coast Highway last Wednesday afternoon about 4:20 p.m. CHP were pursuing a woman driving a stolen U-Haul truck. The chase finally ended on a rural road in Ventura County. The female driver, Alisha Mankin, sprinted from the truck, yanked vainly on the door of another car, and was then tackled and arrested. Mankin was to be booked on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, recklessly evading peace officers, driving while under the influence of a controlled substance and misdemeanor hit and run, the CHP said.
