Malibu High 10th-grader Aaron Kagon is given a City of Los Angeles Proclamation from L.A. City Attorney Carmen Trutanich at the Los Angeles Maritime Institute’s 20th anniversary celebration in San Pedro on Saturday. As a member of LAMI’s youth crew, Kagon was recognized for his volunteer work teaching tall ship sailing skills to disadvantaged youth, as well as for being a deck hand for numerous voyages over the past four years.
