Malibu Rotary Club Crowns Singing Competition Winners

2015 Malibu Rotary Club Middle and High School Annual Singing Competition

Malibu Middle and High School students serenaded the crowds on January 21 during the 2015 Malibu Rotary Club Annual Singing Competition at Pepperdine University’s Raitt Recital Hall. 

Ten students competed in the annual contest and awards were presented to three Middle School division winners and three High School division winners, including cash prizes up to $250.

In the High School division, Isobel Anthony won first place singing “O Luce di Qust ‘a Anima” and will be sponsored by the Rotary Club to compete in the Rotary District 5280 Art, Dance, Music and Speech Competition on March 28 at Loyola Marymount University.

All student participants are part of Amy Loch’s choral classes at the middle and high school, and were accompanied by pianist Joellen McHaughton.
