The City of Malibu is seeking nominations for the Jake Kuredjian Memorial Citizenship Award. Each year the Parks and Recreation Commission awards someone who has given their time and resources to better the quality of Malibu’s parks and recreation programs.
The City Council created the award in 2002, named in honor of Deputy Hagop “Jake” Kuredjian, who was killed in the line of duty on August 31, 2001.
Last year Dermot Stoker was honored with the award for his many years of service on the city’s Parks and Recreation Commission.
