Pedego Santa Monica has donated a bike to help raise funds for the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation (SMMEF). Owners Barb and Steve Wittels have donated a Pedego Electric Bike for a drawing to benefit local schools.

For each $50 donation, made in person at TREATS Frozen Yogurt & Dessert Bar in Santa Monica or online at smmef.org, contributors wil earn an entry into a drawing for the pale blue Comfort Cruiser, which is on display at the yogurt shop.

For entry into the drawing, donations must be made by April 14. The bike is valued at $2,700 and the winner will be announced on April 15 at 5:30 p.m.

SMMEF Executive Director Linda Greenberg said, “The Pedego and TREATS collaboration has been a tremendous way to encourage our community to donate to SMMEF. All donations will directly impact children in the Santa Monica-Malibu public schools by funding additional staff, arts education, and a variety of innovative programs, including science and technology instruction.”

The SMMEF was established in 1982 by a group of parents, community leaders and local business owners to engage the community to invest in local education for Malibu and Santa Monica public schools.Â
