The Malibu Friends of Music hosted the Malibu Coast Music Festival with events and concerts in late August and early September. The events, held at the Montgomery Arts House for Music & Architecture, featured a number of local musicians.
Performers included the Malibu Coast Chamber Orchestra, Malibu Coast Silent Film Orchestra, Malibu Coast String Quartet, Viklarbo Chamber Ensemble and The Murasaki Duo. Carla Bates served as the visual artist in residence for the festival.
