A vehicle struck a light pole and overturned Tuesday night in Malibu on Kanan Dume Road just south of Latigo Canyon Road, injuring the driver and all three passengers.
The 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix overturned at about 10:08 p.m. on Kanan, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Joe Saunders. The driver and his three passengers, all between the ages of 18 and 20, were transported to the UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica with minor to moderate injuries, Saunders said.
The 18-year-old driver was headed southbound on Kanan when, “for reasons still under investigation, he drove from the southbound lane, across the northbound lane, struck a light pole and overturned,” Saunders said.
