The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority is in need of more local volunteers to participate in its 2016 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count on the morning of Jan. 28.
The goal of the count is to determine the number of homeless neighbors residing in certain areas on any given night, and data gathered will be used for the purpose of providing programs and services to those experiencing homelessness in the greater LA region.
Malibu count volunteers will meet at Our Lady of Malibu Church at 4:30 a.m., where they will be deployed to various locations throughout the city. The count will be finished by 8 a.m.
