On behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the many families it serves, I’d like to extend my deepest gratitude to the Firefighters of Los Angeles County. With their help in the 3rd Annual Los Angeles County Local 1014 Fill-the-Boot (July 29-31) MDA raised nearly $300,000.
MDA is incredibly fortunate to have the Los Angeles County Firefighters on its team to help win the fight over muscle-wasting diseases. Not only do these honorable men and women make a difference every day in the community, they also greatly enrich the lives of people who live with one of 43 neuromuscular diseases.
MDA would also like to express sincere appreciation to the citizens of Los Angeles County who opened their hearts and wallets to help firefighters fill their boots for MDA’s mission. Thanks to Los Angeles County Firefighters and the community, MDA will continue to provide vital support and services to the more than 6,000 families throughout the Southland. The funds will help MDA continue its ground-breaking research, both nearby at USC and UCLA, and worldwide.
Thank you for making a difference.
