This letter is not only to the editors of The Malibu Times but also the entire city of Malibu. I would like to send the biggest possible “thank you” and “I love you” from Debrah at Ralphs Market. I don’t know how to express it or, if it is possible, to put into words how grateful I am for all the wonderful words and matching opinions, in regards to me winning the Dolphin Award. And the only place I know how to start is with “thank you” and “I love you,” and that is only the jumping off point. I feel joy and happiness and the only word I can think of at this moment is “amazing.” I can’t see how anything could possibly top it, and if there is a possibility, it would have to be one of extreme magnitude.
My only wish to everyone is someway, somehow, equal joy and happiness. I thank you and I love you, Malibu. And an added “thank you plus” to Chris Cortazzo, who wrote and dedicated to me at the Dolphins Awards gathering, an extremely beautiful poem. Love forever and one day.
