Crime Report

The following incidents were reported between 9/7- 9/25:

9/07

Purse Snatch

A purse and its contents were stolen from a Malibu restaurant, damages totaled $3,100.

9/8

Kitchen Crook

New kitchen appliances and construction tools valued at $8,750 were stolen from a home on Tapia Drive.

9/12

Tools Taken

Tools worth $765 were stolen from a property on PCH.

9/13

Shattered Glass

A window of a home on Seafield Drive was smashed, but nothing was reported missing from the home.

9/17

Printer Pinched

A printer was stolen from a residence on Broadbeach Road. 

9/19

Near Miss

A window screen was torn at a property on PCH, but no valuables were taken. The owner reported she does not store valuables in that house and that a similar crime occurred last year.

Pilfered Purse 

A purse and contents valued at $750 were stolen from a restaurant in Malibu.

On the Run

Triathlon spectators suffered $1,500 worth of damage and theft from a minivan they parked at Bluffs Park during the race.

Small Time Crook

A mini refrigerator was stolen from a property on Broad Beach.

9/23

Crime Spree

A family suffered $3,280 in losses including a $1,500 charge to a stolen credit card after their car was broken into. Keys had been left in the gas cap.

9/24

Car Crook

$900 worth of items was stolen from a car parked near the Civic Center. Keys had been left in the front bumper.

9/25

Vandal Problems

Two doors to a home on Winding Way were shattered. Homeowners blamed the “dangerous neighborhood.”
