The Malibu Middle School Lacrosse Club traveled to Encinitas on March 14 and 15 to participate in the 2009 Tune Up Lacrosse Tournament. After winning all three of their games on March 14, the Sharks went on to win their semifinal game on March 15 and then the championship against the Mustangs, 6-4.
Malibu’s goalie Jake Wexler was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament, which brings the team’s undefeated season record to seven wins. The Sharks’ season will continue through May. More information can be obtained online at www.malibulacrosse.com.
