The Creative Visions Foundation hosted “Safari as a Way of Life,” an event featuring live music, a new art gallery tour and a book signing by Kathy Eldon, who recently wrote a biography on her son Dan, a journalist who was killed in Somalia in 1993. Kathy Eldon’s biography is titled “Dan Eldon, Safari as a Way of Life.” The event took place at the Dan Eldon Center in Malibu Nov. 12.

“Inspired by Dan’s life, Creative Visions Foundation exists to ignite the creative spark within all of us to make a positive difference,” Kathy Eldon said. “We provide tools, resources, mentorship and community to help anyone use media and the arts to create awareness of important issues and impact the world.”

Kathy is a Malibu resident who founded the nonprofit with her daughter, Amy Eldon Turteltaub, after Dan’s death.
