The Malibu High School girls varsity soccer team took home second place in the Crossroads tournament last week. The Sharks (5-1) opened strong, defeating Brentwood, Windward and Marlborough by scores of 4-0, 2-1, and 7-0, respectively. In the first three games of the tournament, Caysie Beetley and Kristiana Konkol has three goals each, Samantha Holst, Claire Haft, and Ashtin Miller scored two goals each, and Paige Stoker had one goal. Malibu faced a talented Marymount team in the final game, and a loss earned them second place. The Sharks return to action Wednesday at home to face La Reina at 3:15 p.m.
