Last Tuesday, Feb. 23, journalists flocked to Sony Pictures Studios for an early bird “sneak beak” of scenes from “The Angry Birds Movie.” Feathers lined the walkway to the “birdbath” room where breakfast was served and reporters were joined by a variety of real birds.
A Q&A followed with producer John Cohen and members of the cast, including Jason Sudeikis (Red), Josh Gad (Chuck), Bill Hader (Leonard) and Danny McBride (Bomb), all of whom lent their voices to the movie.
Adapted from the popular phone app, Angry Birds, “The Angry Birds Movie” tells a tale about flightless birds with unique personalities. Plot lines include Red’s need for anger management classes, their life on the island and presumably friendly green pigs who come to shore with less-than-friendly motives.
“The Angry Birds Movie” will be in theaters May 20, 2016.
