Author and playwright Swami Kriyananda brings his acclaimed play “Jewel in the Lotus” to the Malibu High School Auditorium on July 19 at 7:30 p.m. A Los Angeles one-time premier presentation, the proceeds of this performance will benefit the Malibu High performing arts program.
“Jewel” is about the human journey from the “mud” of mundane experiences to the “flowering” of a person’s deepest potential. Using the Lotus as metaphor, “Jewel” portrays the poignant human struggle to overcome difficult circumstances and reach new heights of fulfillment through personal transformation.
Kriyananda is an internationally known author, lecturer and composer. He is one of the world’s foremost authorities on meditation and yoga.
