Deportation is answer

The following was addressed to President Bush and Gov. Schwartzenegger

Illegal aliens are here. They are illegal aliens, not immigrants, and they are violating the law. There is nothing we can do, legally, but deport them ASAP. Either you follow the law now and deport them or do some silly dance (which you both are doing now) and get dunked for your efforts. You have no choice, legally. Follow the law or get slammed for malfeasance.

If they are so “indispensable” for some industries, have those industries pay their total health care and their transportation from Mexico and back. Deport them to new industry hiring stations in Mexico, where the industries wanting these people can hire them, transport them to and fro, for a short period of time only, and take care of them while they are here. No schools, no hospital care, etc. That would truly be a “Guest Worker” program.

I’ve talked to several of these “landscape” workers here in Malibu and the farm workers in the Central Valley. They are only interested in getting higher up the pay scale ASAP, to McDonald’s, construction, etc. And this surprises you? So them being “needed” for agriculture is bogus as they only stay in farm work for less than one season. Check the Farm Union log of members and where these members go.

Follow the law. We do it. If you try “selective enforcement” or law by the masses, your wiggling will get you both replaced even faster. Your attempts to convince us that “upholding the law is too much trouble” is ludicrous. What are the other laws that are too much trouble to enforce? You are both in a hopeless position, gotten there by others. This is not your fault.

Don’t try to correct the earlier, stupid mistakes. You will both get blamed for the original old mistakes of industry and government.

Your hands are tied. You have to uphold the law. Deport them all, seal the border and ask for ideas to prevent this from ever happening again.
