The Malibu Water Polo Foundation has introduced Splashball, a water polo-inspired sport for children. The sport, designed for children ages five to nine, develops teamwork and sportsmanship skills in addition to improving swimming and water safety principles. The team is coached by Mike Mulligan, the physical education chair and boys water polo and swim coach at Malibu High School, Jamie Jacobson and Hayden Goldberg. The team’s first season comes to an end March 22.
