Fresh off of a strong season, star Malibu High varsity football players Dovid Rabinowich and Tee Barnes were recognized as all-stars in their league. The two were tapped to play in the annual Ventura County All-Star Football Game.

The game, hosted by the Ventura County Lions Club, is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Jan. 19 at California Lutheran University.

Rabinowich was recognized as the MVP defensive lineman during the 2017-18 season for MHS, according to information provided by local resident Dr. Amora Fisher. In the team’s latest season, he played as both an offensive and defensive tackle.

Barnes, a quarterback, moved from Santa Monica to join the football squad. In a previous article, TMT’s McKenzie Jackson described him as the “best signal caller in the Citrus League.”

Both boys, currently MHS seniors, are exploring the option of playing football in college.

Rabinowich and Barnes were honored along with other all-star players at a banquet earlier this month.
