Malibuites live in the backyard (or maybe front or side yard) of UCLA and USC. Many of our residents attended one of those schools or another PAC 12 institution. Schools in that conference have strong athletic programs, yet Charter Cable does not include the PAC 12 Channel.
Because PAC 12 schools don’t just compete against each other, a great many other universities’ teams that we may have an interest in also appear on that channel from time to time, including Malibu’s Pepperdine University.
A representative of Charter Cable recently informed me that they do not include the PAC 12 Channel because not enough people from Malibu have requested it. I don’t know about anyone else, but I would be willing to give up the Cricket Channel, among others, for the PAC 12 Channel. Perhaps, if enough of us contact Charter and ask for the PAC 12 Channel, we will soon have the opportunity to enjoy many more outstanding athletic contests from the comfort of our own favorite viewing site.
