Everette Plen, a fifth grader at Juan Cabrillo Elementary School, was honored with a 2009 Care Award by the Biz Parentz Foundation, a non-profit corporation that supports young performers and honors their work in acting and in their communities, at Universal Studios, Hollywood last month.
