A handful of local teens recently graduated from the CareerLaunch Summer Program held at the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu. CareerLaunch is a career exploration and mentoring program for teens ages 13-18. Participants learned many job skills including how to write a resume, cover letter and conduct an interview with prospective employer. Each participant interned 50 hours at one of the following businesses: MFYF, Novocom, Clout, Malibu Chamber of Commerce, Tasty Baby, Inc., Farmer’s Insurance, Green Earth Solution Network, Malibu Times, Malibu Parks & Rec, Malibu Library and Point Dume Pizza. At the end of each teen’s internship they received a $250 stipend.
