Ellen Shane, founder of The Emily Shane Foundation, hosted the 2nd annual “Musical Interlude” to benefit the foundation’s Successful Educational Achievement (SEA) program.
The SEA program provides mentoring to middle school students struggling in school and aims to prevent its participants from “falling through the cracks.”
The event was held at a private residence in Point Dume. Guests enjoyed an assortment of tea sandwiches, delectable treats and an afternoon of music. The SEA program helps to raise money to help mentor young people in need.
Seventh-grader Sergio Solis spoke to the group about his positive experience with the mentoring program SEA and his desire to see other youth benefit from the program.
A large group of women gathered for “Tea Time” treats and a musical performance on Wednesday at an Emily Shane Foundation benefit.
A flute trio composed of flautists David Lamont, Kathy Landmann and Janice Nikora entertained the guest at the Emily Shane fundraiser “A Musical Interlude” on Wednesday.
World-renowned pianist and composer Marcelo Cesena performed a piece he wrote for Emily Shane.
