The 2007 edition of the Malibu Little League 9-year-old all-star baseball team finished in second place with a 6-1 record in tournament play this summer. This was the best record ever achieved by a Malibu 9-year-old all-star team. The squad competed against teams from Culver City, West Los Angeles, North Venice, Beverly Hills, City of Angeles, Wriggley and Santa Monica. Those leagues’ talent pools of players far out- numbered Malibu’s.

The Malibu team was helped by the pitching of Skyler Radcliffe and Andrea Simonaeau, who tossed a no-hitter against North Venice Little League. In the seven-game tournament the Malibu team got 76 hits, averaging nearly 10 per game. Malibu had an overall team batting average of .454, an on-base percentage of .573 and a slugging percentage of .584. The team batting was led by Radcliffe, who had a .706 batting average in the tournament with 12 hits, including a triple and two home runs.
