Students from the PDMSS Environmental Commission present a check to the Botswana School Project to help cover the cost of shipping donated books.

Students from Point Dume Marine Science School took part in the spirit of giving this holiday season by participating in a book drive to benefit a school library in Botswana. The school community exceeded the drive’s goal, collecting more than 3,000 books. Additionally, the PDMSS Environmental Commission donated $129.75 from a recent fundraiser to help ship the books to Africa. The books will be given to the Gxhabara Primary School located in Maun in Northern Botswana.
