Longtime Malibu resident and surfing legend Cal Porter celebrated his 90th birthday with family and friends at Paradise Cove on Sept. 20. Porter was the first lifeguard at Zuma Beach and has had a long and storied career as a teacher and lifeguard, which he did for nearly 40 years.
