I am certain that I am not alone in my thinking as to why the upper portion (caves) of Corral Canyon is allowed to remain open during red flag days? If the park rangers close Solstice Park due to the red flag days, why are we not closing the upper portion of Corral Canyon? Last weekend, during the winds, I patrolled the upper bowl several times a day and night and was very surprised to see the amount of people in the parking lot. In talking with some of the people, they all seemed to question why the lower park was closed and the upper park was open. Does anyone else find this odd?
