The Malibu Art Association is currently presenting “Organic Elements,” the first of a two-part series of mixed media paintings by artist Shirley Ash. The exhibition includes abstract works representing the four universal elements in nature: earth, air, fire and water, as well as a fifth element known variously as space, idea or the void.
“Through image, my hope is to encourage a sensitivity and heighten appreciation for nature and our environment,” Ash wrote in a recent press release,
The exhibition will remain on display through July 6 at Malibu City Hall, 23815 Stuart Ranch Road.
