The Malibu High School Junior Optimist Club spent a recent lunch break wrapping Christmas gifts for the young inmates at Camp Miller in Malibu.
More than 20 gifts, from soccer balls to chess sets, were donated by the Optimist Club and festively packaged by the Junior Optimists. The clubs wanted to lend a hand due to the scarcity of sports equipment at Los Angeles County probation camps caused by budget cuts.
