If it is so safe and appropriate, why is it 20 miles at sea and not in some industrial harbor? San Pedro, Long Beach, San Diego all have the necessary infrastructure already in place for this project. These areas are in the business of projects like this. So why so far at sea? At such great expense? The only answer is because the builders consider it potentially dangerous. And they are right.
At a time when we are all lectured about the expected terror attacks, tsunamis and earthquakes, to put a thing like this 20 miles at sea is, from my perspective, totally insane. Drop the whole idea. It is nuts and should have been stopped long before now. There is a reason it has never been done before. Because it is so stupid!
