Pauline Walker Barrett, also known as “MaMa2,” passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her Malibu home on Nov. 27.

Barrett was born in Palestine, TX, in 1916. “She was the life of every party,” her family said in a written statement. “She was always dressed to the nines, usually in purple, and was always first on the dance floor. She had a fondness for chocolate, champagne and younger men. She habitually ordered dessert first, her secret to longevity. Her sweet Southern-belle nature would linger long after she left a room. She always counted her blessings. She was our Purple Princess, and we always did and always will love and cherish her.”

Barrett is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Allen Sarlo; her grandchildren, Sophia and Colton Sarlo; her granddaughter Dana Sturt of Ventura County; her grandson David Barrett Sturt, Krista Smallbone and great granddaughter, Harper Lee Sturt of Aspen, Colo.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate the “Raging Redhead’s” life on Dec. 12 at 12 p.m. at the Sarlo residence in Malibu.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests practicing an act of kindness for an older person.
