The third Malibu Homeless Connect Day will be held at the old courthouse on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The city-sponsored event will bring together city, county, state, federal and nonprofit agencies to provide “free, one-stop” services to people who are homeless. These services include food stamps, Medi-Cal, affordable housing, health screenings, free haircuts, social services, carepacks, veterans benefits and legal assistance. Free boxed lunches and hygiene kits will also be available.

Volunteers are currently needed for the event; to participate, contact Meghan Mai at mmai@stjosephsctr.org. The volunteer orientation will begin at 9 a.m.

For general information or questions, contact Leah Cohen at 818.880 9416 or email at lcohen@bos.lacounty.gov.

For those residing in Topanga, free transportation to and from the event will be provided from the General Store (141 South Topanga Canyon Boulevard) at 10 a.m. The event address is 23525 Civic Center Way.
