The Malibu Half Marathon and 5k Run/Walk returns to Malibu on Sunday, Nov. 3.

The racecourse runs along Zuma Beach in the western part of Malibu, with runners expected to arrive as early as 4:30 a.m. race day. The course runs along Zuma Beach on Pacific Coast Highway, past the beach where it turns around at Nicholas Canyon and heads back toward the finish line.

“One of the best reasons to run the Malibu Half Marathon and 5K is to run for charity in support of the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu,” Race Director Erica MacVittie said in a press release. “To show how much we appreciate our charity runners, we’ve worked really hard to create what we believe is one of the best VIP lounge experiences found in any race in the country.”

The race has been supporting BGCM since 2015; MacVittie said they created the run for charity program in 2017 to encourage runners to actively participate in fundraising for the organization.

Sponsors include Rusnak BMW, New Balance Los Angeles, Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business and Management, Veritas Farm and KIND Snacks.
