Handbag Heist

A group of female suspects reportedly stole two purses valued over $1,000 from Intermix.

Credit Crime

A victim’s social security information was used to open unauthorized credit cards and bank accounts. The victim received the credit cards at their residence in the suspect’s name.

House Fire

Residents on Malibu Road awoke to fire alarms and their home in flames around 1:50 a.m. No injuries were reported and an investigation regarding the cause of the fire is ongoing.

Good Samaritan

Keys found on a fence post near the Point Dume reserve were returned to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.

Wetsuit Wipeout

A $400 wetsuit was stolen from a store on Pacific Coast Highway.

Car Crime

Two iPhones, two wallets, credit cards and driver’s licenses were stolen from a vehicle parked near Surfrider Beach.

Beach Burglary

Two iPhones, keys, a backpack and a watch were stolen from a locked vehicle near Leo Carrillo State Beach.

Dumb Driver

Deputies responded to a collision involving a green Ford truck and a parked car around 8 p.m. on PCH. Upon surveying the scene, two suspects were found hiding in the truck and one of the suspects was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
