Rebecca McKay, local resident, died March 28. She was 61.
McKay was born Jan. 25, 1950. She was raised in Los Alamitos, Calif. and attended Western High School.
McKay, a driven businesswoman, owned the Habitat Interior Landscape and Design Company for more than 30 years. She was also a humanitarian, donating much of her time to animals, the environment and her community.
McKay was a devoted Christian who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is remembered by those who knew her as someone “who always lit up a room when she arrived, making the saddest times seem brighter.”
McKay is survived by her fiance Bob Lyon, her aunt Dommie, her sisters Kaki, Pam, Sylvia, her twin Patti and a large extended family.
