Hundreds of students from Malibu High School walk out of class on Wednesday, March 14, as part of a national school walkout to support students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and protest gun violence.

Malibu High School students walked out of class on Wednesday, March 14, as a show of solidarity with students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.—the site of a school shooting last month that left 17 dead and the nation reeling. MHS joined students from schools around the country participating in the walkout, and many students said they planned to attend the March for Our Lives event in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 24.

Students at Webster Elementary in Malibu participated in what the school district called an “age-appropriate activity” during the time middle and high schoolers were walking out of class on Wednesday, March 14—forming a peace sign on the field.
