In February, Kazia Productions conducted a photoshoot in Malibu for its upcoming documentary, “Child Not Released.”
“The film explores long-term consequences of child abuse and neglect by examining two female survivor stories,” Rita Ciolek, Kazia Productions founder and creative director, said in an email to The Malibu Times.
It also explores various approaches to healing to help survivors overcome trauma. Ciolek said the crew is currently looking for collaborators and survivor stories in local communities. Anyone looking to participate can email her at rita@kaziaproductions.com.
