Show off the money

“Jerry Perenchio Agrees To Donate Golf Course Property” read the banner in The Malibu Times. The Malibu Bay Co. president says he and his wife will donate the 10-acre property, located at Malibu Colony, to the State of California after his and his wife’s death. That is nice, Mr. Perenchio, but I’m afraid, you will now have to behold the Malibu vultures circling your recreational and open space property, looking for your carcass, as evidenced by recent letters to this tabloid.

It is my conviction that Mr. Perenchio likes big cars, big boats, big motorcycles, big houses and an enjoyable round of golf.

Good for you, Jerry. The money you make belongs to you and your family (with a few dollars set aside for Squires salary), not some local governmental stooge with a law degree or progressive politician who want to give your land away to a transient Bozeman bound open space curmudgeon to finalize a campaign promise.

Jerry, I don’t hate the rich. I don’t pity the poor. I know wrestling is phony, but so are movies and politics. I believe that a Malibu self-righteous liberal, with an inspiration, is more dangerous than a Hell’s Angel with an attitude.

I think, Mr. Perenchio, that you have every right to keep each penny you make and continue to make more. May God bless you with a lengthy life!

If my opinion ticks a reader of The Malibu Times off, go and invest your money wisely like Jerry and put your name on a golf course. And if you don’t like my point of view, tough! Get over it.

And that is all I have to say.
