The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America gave Pepperdine University women’s swimming and diving team Scholar All-American team distinction in a Jan. 29 announcement. Pepperdine joins 687 other teams with the distinction for the fall 2017 semester. The team has received six straight honors in the past.
Teams qualify for the honor if they achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher; the Waves posted a 3.20 GPA, according to Pepperdine Athletics.
The women will finish their season mid-February at the Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships.
